As reported by Crains New York, Michael Keating, along with a team at Cushman & Wakefield, closed this transaction after a prior deal to acquire this iconic building fell through before Cushman & Wakefield took over the assignment for the Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, and Airman's club.  

Michael Keating represented the Seller of this grand building, which was once the home of a NYPD Police precinct, before being sold to Yeshiva University, and ultimately, sold to a non-profit entity headed by Mahmood Khimji, Owner and President of Highgate.  This complex transaction was held up by a deed restriction imposed by the City of New York in the 1960's, and required approval from the Attorney Generals Office of New York.

 Michael Keating, in collaboration with SVN, successfully arranged the lease of a 7,000+ square-foot industrial facility to a well-known race car engine manufacturer. Founded in England, the company’s journey later took it to California before ultimately establishing its newest operation in Sarasota, Florida, marking an exciting new chapter in its continued growth.

The company will occupy a 3,000 square-foot, newly constructed industrial building, bringing its high-end automotive detailing and car care services to the Sarasota area and beyond. 

Torrco Plumbing, Heating, Kitchen & Bath, represented by Michael Keating of Capstone Associates, leased over 14,000 SF of retail/industrial space which was once home to a regional supermarket.   The 30,000 SF + building is undergoing a radical transformation, and converting from a single tenant to a three tenant building.   This is a case study of how to re-imagine big box style store locations.
